Nightvision 3rd. generation
This device with image intesifier tube Gen.3 Super has resolution min. 64 lp/mm, S/N Ratio min. 25, photocathode sensitivity min. 1800 µA/lum (1800 typical) and gain between 40 000x-70 000x. Lifetime is minimal 10 000+ hours.
Pilots flying aircraft at night and during low-light conditions know how difficult it can be to perform flight operations when visibility is limited. Not seeing clearly can seriously affect what could already be a dangerous task. Medical responders and search-and-rescue units, law enforcement teams, and others who must fly in the dark near offshore oil rigs, power lines or high rises, for example, are especially at risk.
They’re the first night vision goggle certified by the FAA for civilian use, according to manufacturer. Of course, looks are not what will sell this gear. It’s the safety margin they can potentially add to low-light and nighttime flying
The FAA TSO-C164 approved LVL-ANVIS-6 consists of a lightweight binocular, which can be mounted to a variety of helmets using the mounting adapter. Simple to operate, the system is powered by a dual-battery-compartment power pack that provides the pilot with immediate reserve power. This power pack uses TSO approved AA alkaline batteries (provided).
The LVL-ANVIS-6 goggles are available with a range of image intensifier tube performance levels. These specifications combine to offer significantly improved performance for the user, regardless of the light levels. For domestic use ,the LVL-ANVIS-6 is equipped with DO-275 specified class B coatings on the objective lenses.
The 27mm eye-relief eyepieces consistently provide high quality imagery regardless of eyepiece positioning. Most importantly, they ensure that all air crew members retain the full 40 degree field of view, even those who wear prescription corrective lenses. The binocular also provides individual interpupillary adjustment. This simplifies the task of centering the eyepiece to each eye. To maximize viewing and comfort, the LVL-ANVIS-6 also features a fore /aft adjustment over a range of 27mm and a tilt adjustment over a range of 10 degrees.
Solid Adjustments - The LVL-ANVIS-6 user adjustments have a very firm feel. Made of solid aluminum construction the interpupillary, fore and att, and tilt adjustments on the mount, give the user confidence in the system and minimize adjustment time. The system itself has adjustable 25mm eye-relief eyepieces, and objective lenses with minus blue filters.
Mil-Spec - The system has been designed to meet stringent MIL-SPEC requirements by undergoing tests for EMI, high humidity, high altitude, vibration, salt fog, temperature range, and others. In addition, LVL Armory performs complete system “A” tests and provides this data and a Certificate of Conformance with every unit.
